Text Box: Come join The 8th Illinois Cavalry & the First Illinois Brigade in Celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War. We invite you to join us and walk through a realistic Civil War encampment, view the troops drilling on battlefield tactics and drills in preparation for battles like Gettysburg. Then after a day of training on May 1st, plan on joining us and many of the soldiers at the Baker Community Center for our 9th Annual Civil War Ball. Come enjoy our buffet style dinner along with period music and dance. It's fun for the whole family (admission tickets are required click here for more info). These are wonderful events for individuals, the whole family and  group outings.
